April 16-18:
Opening Clean-up Weekend I - Bring your rakes, gloves, tarps, & equipment to help us clean up the campground. Nightly camping rate depends on the oldest piece of Silver Springs’ literature that you can find. We’ll meet Saturday morning at 9:00 in front of the office and work together, section by section. We’ll break for lunch at 12:00 for a potluck lunch…bring a dish to pass for 6 people and your own table service/beverage…we’ll supply the pulled pork sandwich.
   
April 23-25:

Polar Bear Plunge - Please join us…the playground fundraiser continues…$10/person or $20/person and receive a t-shirt, bowl of chili, and hot chocolate. If you just want to come watch the plungers, you may also join us for chili and hot chocolate for just $3.00. All proceeds go to the fundraiser. Plunge starts at 11:30 at the beach. Campfire, hot chocolate, and chili will all be set up at the beach.
   
May 7-9:
Mother’s Day Weekend – Kids, please sign up in the office Friday night to join us Saturday morning to make a gift & card for mom $$. Moms please join us for a free cup of coffee and donut Sunday morning.

 
   
May 14-16:
Kid’s Game Weekend – Kids, please sign up in the office Friday night, games will begin at 11:00 Saturday morning.

   

May 21-23:
Kid’s Craft – Kids, please sign up in the office Friday night to join us Saturday morning to create your very own bottle spinner $$. This is a painting craft, so please come dressed appropriately.


   
May 28-31:
Memorial Day Weekend - Music by Universal Sound Saturday evening 7:00-11:00. Flea market/craft/bake sale on Saturday…bring your goodies and set up a table at your site. Horseshoe Tourney courtesy of our Seasonals at 1:00 Saturday. Sign up at the pits on the hill by Noon on Saturday. The entry fee is $4.00/person. Colortime craft $$. Giant Game Weekend – Kids please sign up Friday night to play GIANT Jenga, Twister, Shoots-n-Ladders, etc. The games will be available all day on Saturday.
   

June 11-13:
Kid’s Carnival - Join us under the “Big Top” Saturday from 10:00-Noon. Lot’s of games and prizes for kids of all ages to win. Face Painting & Balloon Sculptures by Miss Sparkle and Knick Knack Clowns. Hot Dogs, Cotton Candy, and Soda will also be served $$. Face painting will continue after the carnival is over $$. Father’s Day Weekend - Fire and Safety Weekend…You won’t want to miss this show of fire trucks, ambulance, Med-Flight, squad cars, K-9 unit, Smokey the Bear and all the professional people to answer any and all your questions. 18th Annual Volleyball Tournament - Please sign up your team by closing on Friday night. $4.00/person entry fee. Low & High Brackets. Starts at 9:00 Saturday morning. T-shirts to the winning teams. The Dance Club DJ will play from 8:00-11:00 Saturday evening.

   
July 2-5:
July 4th Weekend - Come tie-dye with us on Saturday morning at 10:00. We’ll supply the red & blue dye so we can make red, white and blue shirts. Cost is $6.00 and includes the shirt or $2.00 per shirt/item if you bring your own. Parade Sunday at 1:00…please join us with your bikes, golf cart, show car, float, band, or whatever…remember to wear your tie-dyed shirt for the parade. Please note: NO water balloons allowed, use of water guns is fine during the parade. Fireworks will be Saturday evening at dusk (usually about 9:30). 2nd Annual Kickball Weekend – Be sure to have your team of nine people signed up on Friday night by 9:00. The tournament will begin at 9:00 Saturday morning. Cost is $4.00/person to play. T-shirts to the winning team. The Nothing But Trouble Band will play from 8:00-11:00 on Saturday evening.
   
July 16-18:
80’s Weekend – All right 80’s lovers, here’s your chance to bust out the leg warmers, tight rolled jeans, big hair, banana combs, and high collars. Join us for 80’s Jeopardy on Saturday at 1:00. You won’t want to miss the best dressed 80’s dance contest with The Dance Club DJ from 8:00-11:00 on Saturday evening.
   
July 23-25:
Chocolate Mania - Chocolate Slip and Slide! Life size Chocolate Candyland. Chocolate ice-cream sundae $$. Dance Club DJ will be play all your favorites from 8:00-11:00 on Saturday night. The pancake breakfast on Sunday morning from 8:00-11:00 will be held in the red shed. Columbus/Fall River Snowmobile Club will be here to flip the pancakes, scramble the eggs, and fry the sausage $$. Table service and beverage included.
   
July 30-Aug 1:
Teen Survivor Weekend – Teens ages 13-18 sign up in the office by 9:00 Friday night, $2.00/person. Teams of 5 will be selected at random. Dance Club DJ will play from 8:00-11:00 on Saturday night. Amazing Picture Race and Corn Boil – Sign your two person team up on Friday night by 9:00 to participate in the Amazing Picture Race. The cost is $5.00/person. Prize to the winning team. The race will start at 10:00 Saturday morning. Then after the race, you won’t want to miss the BEST sweet corn locally grown here in Rio by the Bahr Family. At noon on Saturday we’ll serve sweet corn, hot dogs, and soda for $1.00 each. The Under Cover Band will play all your favorite classic rock songs from 7:00-11:00 on Saturday evening.
   
Aug 13-15:
Fiesta Weekend – Please join us for a craft Saturday morning. Nacho/Taco bar will be set up at the pool Saturday at 1:00, nominal fee. Universal Sound Band will play Saturday evening from 7:00-11:00. Beach Party –Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and beach towels and hang with us Saturday evening at 5:00 at the beach! The Dance Club DJ will be at the beach from 6:00-10:00. Games and fun for everyone…please sign your team of five people up in the office by noon on Saturday. Hamburgers, Brats, & Hot Dogs will be grilled and served at the beach from 5:00-7:00 $$.

Pirate Weekend – Back by popular demand!!! There are lots of activities for everyone to participate it. Cannon ball launch, cardboard boat building/races, treasure find in the sand, and scavenger hunt. Elwood Lee Band will play from 7:00-11:00 Saturday evening.
   
Sept 3-6:

Fall Festival & Customer Appreciation Weekend - If you camped with us in 2010, show us the receipt and you’ll get one night free. Enjoy lots of “end of the season” sales in the office. Please join us on Saturday at 11:00 to build a caramel apple or decorate a pumpkin craft $$...hot apple cider and pumpkin bars will be served. $$ Then Saturday evening at 6:00 you won’t want to miss the Fall Harvest meal. Bring a dish to pass for 6 people and your own table service/beverage and we’ll supply the turkey and rolls. Please sign up, with your reservation, for your “fall harvest” dish to pass and number attending. Also, The Dance Club DJ will end our season on the right note with one last show from 7:00-10:00 on Saturday night.
